Orienteering race 1:07:57 [5] 9.3 km (7:18 / km) +100m 6:56 / km
shoes: VJ Twister

Not typical Forest of Dean terrain. Not particularly keen on it either. Tired from early start and driving but also had stomach ache for much of it.

Not particularly great run. 12th on short brown, 6th M50. Lost a minute at 1 and maybe 2 at 12 - the rest I was just slow and not highly motivated. 6 mins down on KH.

Strange idea of printing half the course on the front of the map and half on the back of an A4 sheet. Didn't seem to be a reason for it.

Nice sunny day - the luck was in again for the big weekends this year. Some good Scottish FCC results - lots to play for on Sunday.

Easy week this week I think coinciding with a lot on.

Orienteering (Tech training prep) 40:00 [3]

At Shooting Greens taking a run through as early prep for MAROC Wednesday eveining trainings ession.

Went from top car park but feeling really tired so walked/jogged most of it. There are one or two reasonable bits where you don't have to fight your way through crap. If the place was runnable it would be fantastic. The rock detail in parts of the NW of the area is great but unfortunately fighting your way through felled areas, extensive brashings and significant areas of light green sitka is not a whole heap of fun. Will need to do something creative on this one.

Can't say it was hugely enjoyable but that's partly because I was significantly tired.
