Mtn Bike 2:45:00 [3] 55.0 km (3:00 / km)

From Braeloine up the Firmounth, then back down to two bridges and on up to the foot of Mt Keen on a grand day. Then the lovely gradient back to Braeloine via Half Way Hut. With T & K.

Then back home on my own by way of Ballogie and Shooting Greens, through Blackhall. Trouble with grit behind my lenses in the headwind but a good day!

On the bike for about 3.30 but a few wait stops.

Trail / Road Run 28:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Cumulus

Very gently easy run from work to Hazlehead - justified on the back of some pretty heavy stuff over the last couple of weeks.

Load of stretching after.

Swim (Banchory pool) 55:00 [3] 2.08 km (26:27 / km)

With K
52 x 20m front crawl
52 x 20m breast stroke
Tired! Not done the session for a few weeks so really felt it. Still in the slow lane but works for me,,,seems quicker than some of the others anyway and less congested. Maybe there's some sort of stigma attached to being there.

Forgot my water bottle and started getting cramp after 50 or so lengths, probably partly down to my less than impeccable style. Usual crew of doctors, cyclists and Orienteering mums in the pool...and an O daughter of course.

Jogged down to the pool - 3 mins :-)

Trail / Road Run 36:57 [3]
shoes: Asics Cumulus

Lunchtime and fleeing.

Felt the best I have for a long time - hence a pb by 3 mins round the Hazlehead loop from Rubislaw. Not as good as it sounds as I've only timed it three times and the first was a social jog.

Warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: VJ Twister

Orienteering race (Graythwaite Regional) 1:23:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Gel Trail Sensor

Badly missed at 2..blame the 1:7500 scale and then went pretty well to 12. Unfortunately went to 14 instead of 13 but missed it by being too far downhill, and only realised I'd missed 13 when I found 14. I wasn't the only one..didn't think the course overprint was clear enough with the two controls close together, and for those of us colour-challenged it was just that...however gripe over. Lovely day but a lot of people out for a long time!Tough terrain and course. All in all 73 would have been a good time I think.
Splits show 2 mins down at 12 in 64 so was reasoanble enough until I decided to miss out 13.

Didn't like the shiny map paper which didn't fold properly and seemed to lose detail when you did try to fold it and was too slippery.
