With c. Scolty car park, back of Scolty, up to close to Shooting Greens, drop down to the river and back. Wore the wrong shoes and felt slow and tired especially on anything remotely like a hill. Great loop as ever though.

Lovely day so decided on a walk up Melmannoch instead of the usual Boxing Day fare at the fun run and Pudding Shaker. With T. Great viewpoint without going the full way round the Kerloch Circuit.

Nice bright chilly morning and dry. Great sociable run from Aboyne loch. Left dc, c, bigjon, sarahd, mats, Chepls and Sashman for dead up Mortlich..not, definitely! Lovely views and great to get out on Christmas Day. Minor altercation with the Aboyne "Deeside Way man" even today.

Maroc run from Tarland. Up Pressendye and Pittenderich. About twelve out today and got the best of the weather. Even some blue sky. First time running up these two hills. Hard up Pressendye but ran it all.

No warm up..but better than the last couple of DNCs - messed up routes to 1 and 6 but 9 was the only difficulty within the circle -. Apart from that just poor preparation resulted in laces coming undone a couple of times. Very enjoyable, maybe partly because we didn't have to confront Elrick Hill proper.

Shorts it was - not really by design. Had just forgotten anything else. Turned out great through. Good tempo through streets to Woodbank then back through edge of Hazlehead.

20 folk out for the Maroc run from Corsedardar. A loop through the Finzean and Ballogie woods to the west, back down to Ballogie then through Corsedardar. The hills felt hard. Some nice tracks I'd never been on before.

Not having much luck with DNC this year. Brikke didnt start and I was appalling. Based on where I started and finished in relation to IH and self timing it was about 79-80, but first two splits recorded were way off. But I was very bad in any case.

Course, starting high on Birsemore and descending was great though, loved it. Thanks DT.

Think this can go down as terrain training even if a fair bit was in theory on Glen Dye tracks. It wasn't intended to be this tough and we even cut it short. A good amount of snow and slush and one or two rutted tracks didn't help. Still, good to get out in somewhat dreich weather and glad of the company of SD, JMa, BP, CM and welcome guest Megan.

Brilliant snowy conditions in Ben Newe, Strathdon with MAROC Talent Squad + BP and CM. A new area for me. Hot tub, sauna and plunge pool after. Top day. Grateful to EK, EM and JR for pushing the car up the Lecht..all good S&C.
