Dreish and Mayar from Glen Doll with T. Up via Kilbo Path and back via Corrie Fee. Bitter wind up high but in the shelter and the sun it was great. How often can you sunbathe at 930m in March in Scotland?

Have been starting to get really bothered about the "new" lateral pains as the ankle adapts to the elimination of the anterior ankle problems. But the weather was too tempting. No good at absteining so gave it a go up to Lochton of Leys and around the wood.

The estate have repaired the footbridge - good on them - and the wood was crawling with deer. A great morning and the foot was the best it's been since the op. Started to feel I could run at a decent pace too. Not sure what it will be like on hard flat surfaces for the moment but on twisty and bumpy tracks it was pretty good. Progress but better not get carried away.

Banchory, back road to Strachan, Feughside, over Shooting Greens, Mill of Cattie, back over Corsedardar to Finzean, to AA box at Glen Dye, to Strachan, then back road agin to Banchory. Grand in the sun.

Ballater to Banchory on South Deeside Road via Ballogie and Shooting Greens, then back road from Strachan to Bridge of Feugh. Lovely day.

Note

Walk with T from Loch Ullachie up the track to Creag Phiobaidh and then straight back down. Deeside at its best.

Crathes. Lots of off track. Ankle is better off the flat hard stuff. Feel pretty sluggish not surprisingly. Pinching a fair bit half way round but got better. Hoping lots of wobble cushion will sort things eventually. Met Robbie at the far end.

Hmm... forgot to enter the JK but on reflection that might be a good thing. Out of the habit of putting in entries.

Top run. Cloudless sky in the Peaks. Burbage Rocks from Fox House, back over Higger Tor and Hathersage Moor with K. Light rucsac. Cracking run. Great day, Ankle not too bad either. Roast and beer not bad after either.
