Home from work along the DW. As much a mental test as a physical one. Didn't feel great for first few km but it got better and then I was committed anyhow. Was going to add on a loop in Crathes, but ended up running into Banchory, then through to the Glassel Road, up there to the Glen O'Dee wood gate, then through the wood to the Tip Rd, Raemoir Garden Centre and home. Glad I don't need to do this too often.

Felt reasonably ok but found it hard to slow myself down at times early on. Carried a Camelbak but not enough water in it..just didn't fancy carrying any more though.

T working, and another great Deeside day, seemed a waste to spend 4 hours in the car to the SOL and back and run with a lot of miles in the legs so no contest. Not very O motivated just now either.

Bridge of Feugh, Bogendreip, Glen Dye, AA box, Finzean, Corsedardar. Stopped for a pie and a pint at Ballogie, well, a gel and a slurp, then Mill of Cattie, back over Shooting Greens, retracing route back via the AA box etc. Great weather, great Deeside scenery.

Not exactly burning up the tarmac, just an enjoyable ride.

Cracking day for a circuit of Blackhall. Great views throughout, finishing back along the river.

Fancied having a go at Pannanich now we can use it again but couldn't face the Pannanich hill after yesterday. Sorry Andrew et al. Went for a very pleasant recovery run round the back of Scolty with K instead. Partly a recce of a small section for next weeks MAROC long run. Didn't feel too bad except on the ups. Good decision!

This was meant to be relatively steady, and part of a longer run, but didn't quite work out that way. Was more painful than expected or hoped for. Didn't feel too good from the beginning and didnt improve. Good weather day and pretty warm run round local roads but can't get used to this road running lark. Didn't fancy any more proper miles afterwards.

Forvie, tough as usual, whatever condition you are in. Happy enough to be capable of not being too far out of touch after limited terrain work and some high milleage runs. Less pleased with a couple of misses.

From Keiloch by the Invercauld Bridge, Invercauld House, Alltdourie to Linn of Quoich, Mar Lodge, the hill track over to Glen Lui and up to Derry Lodge. Back to Linn of Dee car park and round south side of the Dee, Inverey, and across Victoria Bridge and back. What a superb Deeside day!

Much better pace than last week and great to have company of c & k & one bike for the 22k from Linn of Quoich, making it much less painful than it would have been otherwise. Couldn't match them with a dip in the Quoich by the punchbowl after. Way too cold for me. Could barely put up with dangling my legs in.

Brilliant. Watch out for a slight left calf niggle.

It's been a very long while but good to be back. Glen Tanar is so good! Got a bit concerned when I didn't recognise anyone but a few old DR stalwarts turned up too. It's been that long!

With Deeside Runners, 5 x 4/2 around the two bridges. Got better after the first two or three....tough. Need to keep doing it.
