Sign off at hospital. Surgeon seemed happy but always mentions the "pebbles" he found.."unusual, and not surprising you had problems". Thats what 40 years of O does to you. Didn't tell him what I was up to at Bogendreip on Sunday.

Very rusty but got round the Green. Not bad considering it was Bogendreip and we went in quite a lot of the rougher bits. Ankle now somewhat swollen but not unduly so. Was pretty sore over the last third. Nice warm day to be out. Didn't expect to be Orienteering before April so all good although some of the hills seemed awfully hard.

Not 6 weeks on and the first proper outside run since. Round the wee loch at Glen Dye on the way back from Glasgow. Not exactly terrain but certainly not flat. Good signs, certainly much less pain than before the op. :-)

..and my knee will bend forward at least 4 cm further than it used to...hopefully another 4 cm to come to match the other one.

Spinner broken and definitely no running today.
Don't usually like x-trainer but needs must and since every session must have a purpose, this was about strengthening the foot in a different way. Maybe it might also have helped the sore shoulder that seems to have developed further during the break from running.
