Hiking with my parents, Sam, and Presto on Mt Tam! My parents are visiting for the weekend, so we went on a fairly sedate hike along the Mt Tam ridge. We visited the old air force base, which has awesome views and hiked around in some pretty nice forests, and then went down to Muir Beach to check out the ocean. Fun, fun!

Alternating 1 min run 1 min walk with Presto! This felt much better than just running for 15 minutes on Tuesday. Probably a better way to ease back into things. (The time and distance only includes the running part of this.)

Normal abs + standing on 1 leg on the bed with my eyes closed + stretchy band glutes.

Note

My knee still feels fine, but the muscles in my leg are kind of sore and tight today. I think this same sort of thing was happening a few weeks ago before the silly noodle sake setback. The question is whether to give it another week to figure things out or to try running for like 15 minutes again on Thursday... I guess I'll see try to do some stretching tonight and see how it's feeling tomorrow.

Easy-peasy run with Sam and Presto on the fire trail! It was super foggy and just getting towards twilight when we were running, so it felt very spooky out there tonight.

My knee was feeling fine, but my calf was slightly painful while I was running. I'm not really sure if this is an improvement or not.

Presto was extremely happy to be running as a pack again, though, and was zooming back and forth through the fog :-).

Normal abs (which will now include planks) + standing on the bed on one leg with my eyes closed + stretchy band glutes.

Stretching 15:00 [3]

My entire right leg was sore and tight after the run tonight, but my knee felt fine. Again, I'm really not sure whether this is an improvement or not. I stretched a bunch, rolled out my calf, and iced the back of my knee.

Walking up the hill with Presto! After an afternoon spent eating yummy dim sum at Jason's graduation party, Presto and I were in dire need of some exercise. We headed up the hill, and then continued on the the local maximum on Grizzly Peak Blvd. before turning around. Presto seemed much happier after spending time outside moving rather than just sitting around watching people eat.

Normal abs + planks + stretchy band glute exercises + standing on one foot on the bed with my eyes closed.

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching plus calf rolling.
