My wind ensemble played a concert at the National Association of Concert Bands Festival in Poughkeepsie today and for some reason instead of renting a bus, we all drove down separately, so Laura and I headed off for a day of 3 hours of driving, 3 hours in Poughkeepsie, and then 3 hours of driving. The concert went well and hanging out with Laura was fun, but at the end of the day I felt like a zombie that needed to stretch. So I did.

I decided that since my shin had been feeling good for almost a week, it was time to try an easy run, so Presto and I headed out to enjoy the cool weather! Running felt easy and awesome! Presto gazed at geese! It was a good day :-)!!!!!!!!!!!

Lots of stretching to try to keep the calves happy. I was going to do some strength, too, but sadly, I ran out of time.

We had the car for 24 hours, so before returning it, SGB, Presto, and I headed out to the Fells to do the mountain bike loop there! My shin still feels quite good, which makes me happy. My butt did not feel so good, but I settled into things after a while :-). Presto was a happy dog again - maybe even happier because it was cool out! We only got rained on towards the end, and it was nice for things to be less dusty. Fun, fun!
