Orienteering 1:00:00 [3] *** 5.8 km (10:21 / km)
12c shoes: Mizuno Ascend

Setting the 12 northern-most controls for the Breakheart meet with Eric and Presto. We decided that we'd be fastest going as a pair so that Eric could carry controls, and I could just concentrate on getting us where we needed to go. It worked pretty well, and we got all of our controls set before 10am! Running this morning was awesome :-). Thanks to everyone that helped us with this meet! We couldn't have pulled it off without you!

Orienteering 20:00 [3] *** 2.0 km (10:00 / km)
4c shoes: Mizuno Ascend

Picking up 4 controls with Presto.

Running 28:14 [3] 3.1 mi (9:06 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 6

Running with Presto after lab in the rain! My legs are still kind of tired from PT on Tuesday, and I was STARVING, so we were taking it easy, but it was perfect rainy running weather, so I'm really glad we got out in it. Presto was a happy dog even in the rain :-).

Strength 5:00 [3]

Abs.

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Normal stretching.

Biking 10:30 [3] 3.0 mi (3:30 / mi)

Biking at PT. I was admonished for not thinking of biking as an ankle exercise.

Strength 20:00 [3]

Ankle and hip strengthening exercises. Wow! They were tough today! The wobbly things to stand on were wobblier, and perhaps I am still kind of tired from the weekend. The PT was not impressed with the bruise on my knee from Saturday. She informed me that it could have been much worse than it was, which is obviously true, and then asked if I would consider going to the gym instead of doing things outside. Um, no...?

Running 27:44 [3] 3.1 mi (8:57 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 6

Nice, slow, easy run with Presto after lab. It was a gorgeous night out and really nice to be running, but I'm afraid I'm getting sick, so I took it super easy. Presto was loving it :-)!

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Normal stretching. My calves are tight!

Orienteering 1:17:58 [3] *** 4.8 km (16:15 / km)
16c shoes: Mizuno Ascend

Green course at Needham Town Forest with Presto! I was feeling kind of tired from yesterday and vaguely sick, so I wasn't especially thrilled about pushing through the large amount of vegetation covering the forest. I also made some truly idiotic mistakes including a 180, which I only realized I'd done because I passed this guy peeing on the side of the trail that I'd seen just before doing the 180 as well...this amused me :-). Anyway, the best that can be said of this course was that Presto stayed quite close to me the entire time, and we finished.

Orienteering 5:00 [3] *** 1.0 km (5:00 / km)
7c shoes: Mizuno Ascend

Picking up 7 controls with Presto after taking a nap in the car. The controls are kind of large. I am kind of small.

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Normal stretching.
