Orienteering 17:31 [3] *** 2.1 km (8:20 / km)
12c (injured) shoes: Cascadia Orienteering

Egg Yolk course at Boojum Rock. SGB, Presto, and I decided we wanted to go to the Boojum Rock meet. Unfortunately, we had no transportation. Fortunately, Eric is awesome and was thinking about going out to Boojum Rock anyway, and 40 minutes later we were on our way :-). We started out by all running the yellow together to participate in the Easter egg hunt. It was lots of fun to run together, and yellow courses are incredibly rewarding :-).

Orienteering 1:17:04 [3] *** 3.9 km (19:46 / km)
12c (injured) shoes: Cascadia Orienteering

Brown course at Boojum Rock with Presto. Wow, was I dehydrated. My body clearly could not deal with the 30-something degree increase in temperature from yesterday. The map scale was also 1:7500 which took me a long time to get into, and the green briar was out in force. I ran about two feet away from the first control without seeing it because it was on the other side of a big, fuzzy pine tree and then wandered in confusion for a short while. Number two and three were fine once I disentangled myself from the thorns, but then 4-6 were terrible. I would get basically to the control and then wander in the circle for a while. Six was supposed to be a water control, but there was no water left and man was I thirsty. I also decided that wandering aimlessly inside the control circle was stupid and actually started orienteering, so the last part of the course was smoother but so slow. I got water at 11, so 12 and the finish felt much better than the rest :-). It was such a nice day, though that Presto and I just felt great to be outside!

Stretching 5:00 [3]

Normal stretching.
