Orienteering 48:42 [3] *** 4.3 km (11:20 / km)
spiked:2/4c shoes: Cascadia Orienteering
Went orienteering at Umstead with Presto, while my mom ran with Kiwi. The PT warned me that my right leg would probably feel like cooked spaghetti while I was doing these stretches because I have to reteach the nerve how to fire correctly, and he has been right. Running felt very weird and pretty difficult. (He also said it would be fine to keep running, but I shouldn't keep running past the point where it got uncomfortable - so I'm trying to keep things to around 40 minutes for the time being. Didn't quite manage today because of a lake, which forced my run back to circle around a bit instead of going straight back to the parking lot.) It was a bit frustrating to feel so slow, and I was also making some stupid mistakes. On top of everything else my feet were sliding around in my shoes pretty badly until I stopped and tightened the laces, so all in all, not the most comfortable orienteering experience I've ever had, although it was a beautiful day, so that was nice at least.
