Orienteering race 35:39 [3] 5.39 km (6:37 / km) +180m 5:40 / km
shoes: X talon 212

This was great. Went out in about 10th but had a clean run except for a leg in the urban. Saw a few runners about but no one really on my gaffle except a Swede near the end.

Orienteering race 1:28:41 [4] 12.2 km (7:16 / km) +455m 6:08 / km
shoes: X talon 212

Much more enjoyable and i luckily missed the storms.
My compass was going haywire though as it had a bubble the size of a finger nail so dropped time due to bearing in a few places.

Orienteering race 1:15:25 [5] 8.2 km (9:12 / km) +380m 7:28 / km
shoes: X talon 212

I really didn't enjoy this as the 1:15000 map was ridculous. The elites had problems reading it so i was screwed. It was also a long middle couse with no real RC legs so didn't warrent that scale.

running warm up/down 10:00 [2] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)

Orienteering race 18:29 [5] 2.7 km (6:51 / km) +45m 6:19 / km
ahr:184 max:197 shoes: Asics ds skyspeed 2

Not the greatest of races and although I thought I missed the trap to #2, I also missed the underpass and optimal route.
Fine through to #8 but then got caught at 9. I went past 10 before seeing no gap. Rather than continuing I double back and went the way I should have from the start. 45seconds!!!
I also decided to run past #17 and reached the big pond before realising. 30 seconds.
I really don't know how I got 2nd place after that performance but it was a very tricky area with good planning so lots of mistakes to make.
