Running 30:00 [3] 5.5 km (5:27 / km)

Easy run around NYC. Garmin was kaput. Katie and I made our way to Mahwah in the evening to play games and eat pizza with Boris, Alli, Inara, Barney, Alex, and Ed.

Running 35:00 [1] 6.5 km (5:23 / km)
shoes: 201802 Asics GT1000

Run to work again by the shortest route - Nordheimer Ravine has some nice trail, though I need a better alternative to Avenue Rd. Ramsden Park and Queen's Park are possibilities.

Cross Training (Squash) 1:00:00 [3]

I signed up for a squash class with Laleh; there are a few people in my lab who already know how to play. I'm in Squash I for noobs; the most veteran student in our class has played 2-3 times. Our instructor, Megan, taught us the basics of forehand and backhand before letting us practice rallying against a wall and against each other. I rallied a bit against Megan and my randomly assigned partner (whose name eludes me), and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. Squash requires much more wrist dexterity than tennis, say.

After the class, Laleh and I wanted to practice, so we rallied for about 40 minutes until we were exhausted. I have much training to work on before I can face Arvind, Wail, and Ali. Hopefully Squash will also help my table tennis skills against Katie, whom I have never defeated in perhaps 50 attempts.

Running 50:00 [1] 9.35 km (5:21 / km)
shoes: 201802 Asics GT1000

Run home via Avenue Rd, Roycroft Park, and Cedarvale park. This is my first run to the new apartment, and my route meandered while I explored. It was generally pleasant, with about 50% trails. I might be able to increase that to around 2/3. Garmin ran out of power because I haven't charged it recently.
