Running 45:00 [1] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)
shoes: 201802 Asics GT1000

Easy run around west Manhattan. My garmin lacks energy, and I forgot my charging cable in Toronto. I tried to get into Central Park, but it was essentially closed due to the half marathon. A steady stream of finishers was exiting onto 8th Ave, so I ran down to the Hudson and cruised along the linear park. Conditions were refreshingly brisk with a steady breeze and ~ 0 C temperature. The back felt ok while I was running.

Afterward, Katie and I grabbed lunch at Aaheli Indian buffet, then spent the afternoon at the Metropolitan Museum Art, where we saw an exhibit about Thomas Cole and basked in the majesty of the Hudson River school.

Bowling 1 [1]

Bowling with my lab. I bowled a 149 in the first game after a 100 alternating Strike/Spare through the first five frames and obliterated my lab mates, only one of nine of whom scored over 100. Good times were had by all.

Erg 34:00 [1] 8.0 km (4:15 / km)

I stopped by Hart House for a quick workout. The original goal was to make it to Chipotle before they closed, but I gave up on that and settled in for a bit more. I erged at 24-26 spm for 8 km.

Strength training 15:00 [3]
(injured)

The weight room was quite crowded; I intended to do 3 circuits, but space was limited for variation.

3x (2x) 10x 35 lb kettlebell clean-and-press
3x10 115 lb deadlifts
3x10 135 lb squats

I pulled something in my back on the last deadlift.
