warm up and drills are now being incorporated into one thing where we run 2 laps then do drills for 1 lap then excelerations/jogging for another then run over baby hurdles and then do stairs all in 15 min

First day of practice! didn't get to do much because our coach talked for an hour, but at least I now wont sit at home on my butt.

Orienteering (Red) 1:48:50 [3] 10.0 km (10:53 / km)

in central park, longest race ever! It went through the whole park. 2 of the controls were supposed to be riddles but i didn't know so when i got there i thought the controls were missing. then the next 2 after that i was looking in the wrong location on a different cliff and when i found those i asked 2 guys i saw if they knew about the other 2 i didn't see and they told me what the riddle was and one of the them was the lady's name on the statue and the other was the town in NJ on the sewer, and i had to run back to see what they were and then I had to remember them because i didn't have a pen. but a teach control instead of control punches there were crayons and we had to mark it in the box. The first and last control were the same and in that area there were so many little paths going everywhere that I got lost running in them for a couple minutes. halfway through I was already tired from going back and looking and it was just a really long course.

We were supposed to race 5 miles, but we thought the start was 2 hours early so we ran on our own. It was actually only 3.6 miles instead.
There was a lot of rockiness and crossing water. At one point we had to walk along a rope to cross part of the lake. Another part we had to follow in the river but we stayed on the side.

Orienteering (Green) 1:16:25 [3] 5.4 km (14:09 / km)

Started before my mom and she caught up to me halfway, I tried to stay with her but I couldn't keep up on the rocky areas. One control was all the way up a huge cliff/hill that went straight up it took so long to get up. But overall it was a good course.

Score-o/ memory sort of thing - did this to run it through before anyone else did it
first found 3 easy controls and then went to one and there was map snippet showing where the next control was and you had to find it on your map and then go to it, and the same for the next and that for 5 controls.
