Local terrain. Old jeep trail loop next door. Very warm (80 degrees). Wanted to get out at 9:30, but didn't get out until 10:30. The heat and a poor night's sleep left me feeling a bit lethargic, so decided on a long (or what passes for long these days), slow run. Stayed with L for the first mile, then picked it up a bit was careful not to go too fast. Didn't need to manage my breathing until 3.5 miles, and recovered very quickly, so the pace was right.

Haven't run this long since well before NZ. Would be nice to get a six mile run in before the SML Champs in Idaho, but not clear I'll be able to fit that in.

Splits are for two laps at a time (0.4 miles):

Cool down, staying on the shaded parts of the trail.

Tried one stride afterwards, but only went 60m before deciding it wasn't a very good idea.
