I'm still coughing and have a stuffy nose, so I knew this wasn't going to be my best effort. However, World Masters is in a week and I am so not ready to compete. At all. I had envisioned being in much better shape, but I feel like time fly by and now here we are! Must make the best of what we have though, so figured a solid threshold run would do me good. Definitely in worse shape than when I ran 3 weeks ago, as holding a 4:30 pace was work. Of course, the cold doesn't help. (Forgot to stop the watch at the end)

A really tough morning due to major lack of sleep. Ross was a super husband and dad, and he stayed home in the morning when it was clear I was all out of sorts. Took a 2 hour nap and then felt much better. Sofie and I planned to go to song group in the park this afternoon, but when I woke from my nap I saw that they cancelled the afternoon session and this was their last day before the summer break. Mom fail.
But we went to the park anyway! Ran there, with Sofie happily awake in the stroller. There were lots and lots of kids to watch and she was in heaven. Chatted with another Dad of a 7 month old who also loves watching kids. His wife is Chinese and also doesn't know Swedish. I was going to suggest that his wife and I become friends, but then he said they were moving to Stockholm.

Sofie was becoming obviously tired so I put her in the stroller and she fell asleep before I was even out of the park. Decided to run back along the river for a change of scenery. She kept on sleeping once we were back at the house, so I just kept walking around the neighborhood until she woke up and we went grocery shopping.
