Really really lovely gravel ride from Warburton. Took a bit longer than expected. One of the nicest rides ever, just tall trees and quiet, good quality gravel roads. Tough uphills and very very cold downhills. Garmin gave 1700m climb, Strava 1477 ?

Really happy with this session. Not particularly faster than usual but after a good first 3, I stiffened up and slowed down a lot on 4, but then managed to turn it around and do 5 faster and then 6 faster again.

The Sufferfest session yesterday was all about 'mental toughness' and 'positive self-talk' and I thought it was a bit lame at the time but it really helped me today.

Sufferfest - The Bat. Session is 6 x 5min intervals which start and end with 30s sprint and in the middle are just below threshold. Tough!

400 / 400, 300 / 400, 200 / 300, 6 x (300 hard 100 float), 200 easy, 100 / 100, 50 / 200.

Another not good and not terrible session. Legs felt fresh but otherwise feeling fatigued. Not sure if it was the neck or the lack of sleep due to the neck. Also had gut issues. Neck was feeling quite a lot better at least.

Woke up this morning with an extremely painful neck and upper shoulders. I didn't hit my head in my crash so I conclude that I got whiplash when I went over the handlebars.

Didn't seem to affect my running, felt OK. Around the tracks at Enfield, rained the whole time.
