Two peaks runs in one week! This one from Ladybower up Win Hill, along the ridge and back along the path along the reservoir, with Mary, Tenty, Alex and Dan from run group. Win Hill is another first for me!

Gorgeous day and nice chilled pace, felt OK but did fall off the pace a bit at the end. Also took two not very impressive stacks and now have scrapes on my elbow, both knees, thigh and two swollen hands. The second one I wasn't even running!

Wanted a day off running, bike still in the shop, meant to swim but too nervous cramming for the exam tomorrow.

Run up to Headstone with Joe, Tenty and Nicola, up via the top path and back down the valley. I hadn't been to Headstone before so that was cool.

It was a beautiful day, but this just ruined me. I started off not feeling great, and by the end I was suffering so much that I had to walk quite a bit. I let the boys go at the bottom of the valley, and Nicola and I split in Crookes, and then I actually felt so bad that I had to jog / walk downhill home.

Still feeling very tired so decided to give track a miss. Went for a gorgeous run with some of the ShUOC crew around Froggatt Edge, Curbar and White Edge. I'd never run that route before, it was so nice. Very windy but otherwise warm. Definitely struggled on the hills, sore ankles preferred the slightly softer surface.

Very not restful sleep on a €4 piece of foam with the commentary very audible and the sky very light most of the night. I don't know how the guys perform off this (though I'm sure the best teams aren't sleeping in the arena).

Jukola Leg 7 for Metsäylioppilaat.

Loved it so much I wanted another go! So I went to the runner bank and found a team looking for a runner. The team is actually forestry students at uni in Helsinki, and other than me it was 4 girls (who had also run Venla) and 2 guys. So needless to say I was in the mass start!

Again, this was lots of fun. Decided not to push it like yesterday, was feeling quite wrecked this morning from Venla and then not heaps of sleep. Went off steady, got increasingly more tired and sore, made a big mistake (wrong gaffel at 4, maybe 3-4 min), a huge mistake (lost confidence on 6, searched in an unrelated area for 8 minutes or so) and a little mistake in the green in the last loop. Most frustrating thing about the mistakes was that I had passed all the slow people and got stuck behind them again! Was covered in dirt at the end, the whole area was a dust bowl!
