Mikkeller beer run, same route as last time, but with Mikkeller to drink at the end this time.

Uncomfortable shin, particularly on the downs at the start. Marginally better at the end.

Barrington Tops Adventures Day 4: Scottish swamps & weather

From Junction Pools headed round through Edwards Swamp & over to Carey's Peak again, love these open moors which really remind me of home - especially this time as it started raining whereas last time I was here it was blazing sunshine.

Thankfully stopped raining for the descent down the corker, where we slipped in a short side trip to visit the very cool Selby Allen hut which is tucked away off it. Was a bit sketchy on the descent in the wet, and still not sure my stick use is optimal, but they did the job. Shin started hurting about 6km in today, but was all much more enjoyable running with a super light bag in comparison to previous days.
