Track workout. Quite warm out, unpleasantly muggy. A good fast group to chase, as Tyler, Mark and a new guy Ryan were all in attendance.
1200 @ 5k, 800 @ 5k, 400 @ <5k, 800 @ 5k, 1200 @ 5k, 6x200 @ <5k. 200 rest between each.
started with some drills and strides, and then right into the first 1200. The fast guys were aiming for 5min/mile pace and although I was initially aiming for a little slower ~5:08 pace, I decided to try to keep up with them. It was fine until the last 1200, when I really fell off pace (too fast to start and I was extremely thirsty). finished up the 200s with Ryan who was able to run 30 seconds per 200 while maintaining constant conversation. wow.
