Road run 55:00 [3] 6.25 mi (8:48 / mi)

ran to work today. In shorts. It was actually quite nice, though I was a bit nostalgic for my iPod. I was expecting the run to take me an hour, and I kept feeling very slow, but that might be an effect of running with a backpack on. we'll see if I can keep the motivation and run to work more often. biking is faster, but Greg keeps telling me that biking isn't great training for orienteering...

biking 30:00 [3] 6.25 mi (4:48 / mi)

biked home from work. weather had relented enough that getting on a bike seemed okay. all my clothes were a bit damp from running last night, and Sam is very right to tell me that I need to get more than one pair of tights.

biking 30:00 [3] 6.25 mi (4:48 / mi)

biking to work. dreary skies, but cheerful inner thoughts, thought to myself " I thought it was supposed to be sleeting or something".

later in the afternoon, when it started to snow, I decided to leave my bike at work, and to take the T over to Jenn's for game night.

Road run 45:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

wednesday night run with Jenn. Slushy and sleety, but managed to keep my feet dry most of the way. Jenn got splashed a couple times by passing cars, I arranged myself so that Jenn was between me and all the traffic :) that's modern day chivalry for you. I was buoyed by the thought of warm chicken quesadillas with black bean dip and the invariable background country music playlist that plays each game night. food really makes a good incentive to go running.
