Fitness Pilates 45:00 [1]

FVO Pilates, slightly different style to my usual weekly dose but a good workout from Lard, there are so many more excersises to try - what fun!

Circuits 25:00 [4]
shoes: Brooks GTS

FVO circuits. It's been a while since I've done circuits like these, all that jumping about can do a lot of damage!

Compass Sport Trophy Final - Sutton Park

Still not feeling a 100% and it was touch and go whether I would go at all, my throat has been sore for a few days and now I've got a cold...

Anyway, I set off with the intention of going steadily and that's pretty much what I did but was a bit scrappy and wandered on quite a few controls. I lost about 20-60 secs on each of these and this added up to a lot of minutes as a result, I faded towards the end in the green and I lost a bit of time on #21 having been a bit tangled up in the holly! Most enjoyable run but just wish I could have done it much faster.

It was a great weekend and even more fantastic for FVO to win and bring the Trophy home again!

Orienteering 36:30 [2] ** 2.5 km (14:36 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrater

A bit of fun orienteering in a lovely Lancaster park on a damp afternoon on the way dan saaf, pity the controls were located in the most inaccessible parts of the wood, which made progress a little on the slow side. It was followed by the shortest tea shop stop ever... It was a good way to stretch out the legs and thanks to whoever planned and to JonX for hanging the controls.

Run 1:16:39 [3]
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw

Well, hoofing it up the Ochils from Fraser and Peggy's in Menstrie in the rain wasn't exactly what I needed in my current state but I dragged myself up there behind the posse thinking why on earth am I doing this and when will we ever get to the top... The zig-zag track seemed to go on forever but I cheered up considerably when we regrouped at the highest point. I wasn't too phased by the charging cows in the field around the old dilapidated cottage, they were a bit menacing though. A bit further on we spotted JonX approaching in the distance; he had started the run very late indeed. I'm not sure who suggested it but we hid in the undergrowth with headlamps off to create a disappearing illusion followed by a wee surprise - poor Jon and what a rotten lot! At last there was some downhill but it was steep and slippery in the wet. All a bit hard core for a Wednesday evening but we all survived - just! Peggy saved the day by providing some lovely soup.
