Woods were open, so pretty much went straight. Starting to get serious with compass use.

31:24 to GO control; Finish was already picked up. Found one of the boys with it. This course seemed a little thicker in the greens, or maybe my route choices were not as lucky.

Training Race on a course I'd never run. Long legs, so route choice not navigation was issue. Mostly had trouble with the steep slopes. Had to slide down after a climb several times. Good practice crossing reentrants on logs. Saw several control flags in the woods. They were locked in place.
