10 AM

run (trail) 2:02:26 [3] 14.32 mi (8:33 / mi)
shoes: Vasque trail runners

sunny and cool along sligo creek. should have worn the mask however. there was way too much pollen - I was wheezing the rest of the day.

bike (road) 1:42:31 [3] 28.58 mi (16.7 mph)

sunny and clear in rock creek park. tried out the clip on aero bars on the road bike.

8 AM

bike (road) 58:25 [3] 14.66 mi (15.1 mph)

cool, breezy and clammy this morning.
6 PM

bike (road) 1:04:20 [3] 14.66 mi (13.7 mph)

strong headwinds and violent gusts on the way home. Dumb choice to sling a laptop case over my back which kept flopping around to the front - very annoying. just realized everyone went to that pig meet in ohio. I gotta do that some time.

5 AM

swim 34:06 [3] 1.1 mi (31:00 / mi)

7 AM

bike (road) 56:10 [3] 14.66 mi (15.7 mph)

beautiful 70's morning, but literally hazy with pollen. wore a painter's mask to work, which helped a lot.

Note: the instructions on these allergy pills say not to take them if you have high blood pressure, which leads me to believe I was correct, they were messing with my heart rate etc. yesterday. Switched to a new brand today.
2 PM

run (treadmill) 30:00 [3] 3.56 mi (8:26 / mi)
shoes: Vasque trail runners

6 PM

bike (road) 59:41 [3] 14.66 mi (14.7 mph)

this mask really works to keep the pollen out of my airways - I should patent this.

run (treadmill) 46:30 [3] 5.51 mi (8:26 / mi)
shoes: Montrail Hardrock

stayed in today because the pollen this week has been making me miserable. even so, I think the powerful antihistamenes I am taking are messing with my aerobic capacity. they are definitely making me drowsy.

bike (road) 58:13 [3] 14.66 mi (15.1 mph)

changing the distance estimate for this commute. My bike computer says 15.09, gmaps-pedometer says 14.23 - the avg. is 14.66
6 PM

bike (road) 56:52 [4] 14.66 mi (15.5 mph)

racing home all the way from DC vs. some other guy. he won, but he had a road bike.
