I went to DC for the day, but really didn't do all that much walking. I Metroed in to Archives and walked to the Newseum to visit for possibly the last time. (It is closing on December 31st so if you've never visited, you should.) Then to the National Gallery to see the 19th century photography exhibit. After things closed, I walked to what is apparently a new Matchbox location in Penn Quarter (or possibly a replacement for the Chinatown one?) to have dinner and then back to the Metro stop.

I went for a deep tissue massage this morning and the verdict was that muscles were still extremely tight (so imagine how they were 4 months ago) and that I must have an incredible pain tolerance due to how deep she had to work. Yikes. So I guess this goes on the maintenance schedule more often. Honestly the expense is why I have not done this often except as a luxury.

DVOA Star Village - Green

A very physical day with all the rocks and hills, especially with already being a bit worn out from last night. I navigated well and found everything right away, but was moving slowly. The steep downhill to 6 required inching along and the climb up from 8 to 9 was brutal at that point in the day. Had considered adding the sprint if I had time, but my body was absolutely done.
