New running shoes, in which I soon hope to do some actual running. I went to a running store, got some advice, and opted for a different brand this time although there were some Asics in my possible selections. These feel very light and are soft on top which should help my saddle bone deformity.

Unfortunately, losing daylight fast and it's getting more and more difficult to squeeze anything in at parks right after work, limiting me to darkness in the neighborhood.

Also a physical today, mostly ok, and a tetanus shot.

Off work tomorrow for a doctor's appointment, will try to go in the AM and get fitted for new running shoes. Half-marathon is in a month and with the way this year went I am way less than prepared (although I can walk the whole thing if I need.)

Missed orienteering today.... had best friend here this weekend for Halloween fun since my October weekends are pretty stuffed schedule-wise. Yes, I have had her orienteering before many years ago and she doesn't like it so when she's here we don't go. Will miss next Sunday too due to my equestrian club's charity event. Edit: appears there is no longer a Mt Penn event scheduled for next Sunday anyway.

Yes, I ended up taking a week off. Too much to catch up on at home and work after trip (including processing hundreds of photos). I was supposed to ride yesterday but my trainer wanted to go to Dressage at Devon and I was fine with staying home on another yucky rainy day.
