Event: DVOA Batsto

walking 36:16 [1] 2.35 mi (15:26 / mi)

Still trying to loosen up the back. It's better but not perfect. Hopefully a few more days of rest/light exercise...

Original plan for the weekend was to go to Occoquan and visit the DC tree and hopefully get a friend down there to go to dinner. Then when I didn't feel 100% on Sat AM, changed to going to Batsto and some other Christmasy stuff in NJ today. Ended up scrapping all of it. 4-6 hours round trip in the car with more intense exercise (and blueberry slogging) in between sounds like a recipe for lots of pain right now.

Codorus State Park, to an old scout camp that is now part of the park, and another old cemetery (which we used to hike to at night, and scare the younger kids)

This seemed to help stretch my back out a bit.

Private lesson on Rigbie

I've had off work all week but it really hasn't been much fun. The weather the last several days was miserable. I did something to my back which still hurts (possibly hauling the tree up the steps). I had it feeling somewhat better last night, but riding didn't help. I broke something special to me and spent an entire day seeking out a replacement before finding one on eBay (I think it is identical, we'll see for sure when it comes). People in general are making me grumpy and even the cat is annoying. I probably should have gone somewhere for a week and disconnected, even though I don't really have spare travel money at the moment.
