Instead had a pleasant trot round the woodland and parkland at a soggy Sheffield Park later on. Nice place!

FVO codgers (tonight me Jase Rog) and young guns (Jamie C and Sam) headtorch run from Dunblane, up to the Gathering Stane and back.

My first time on the new made paths, there was some mud and some weaving through terrain too of course :)

Jamie and Sam both running strongly, impressive.

Sprint in Grangemouth with Kirstin, Roger and Mark. An early interlude for me and Rog to pick Mark up after he came off worst in a head-on with some temporary fencing whilst map reading!

Wrongly thought I could get away without a torch for this first course so the last section did involve a little guesswork re control locations in a few places...

Rest of the session - jog between plus two mass start sprintervals. Had a torch this time. Trying to keep the pressure up by often taking the different option to the person just ahead. Pouring with rain by now though so hard to get up to speed, grass v slippery and corners lethal!
