Run to the start with some drills. Stopped raining in time for my start too :)

Day One - Lossie. 15th place.
Late start. Curiously easy course. Wasted opportunity.
Ridiculous 1:40 error overshooting at #3 and then going further instead of being calm. Caught a minute by John Duckworth, punching ahead of him all round the course but he was running quicker. Finally got away at #14, had a plan for the penultimate at #16 in the green, knew where I was then misread contours and missed, couldn't relocate. A full 3 mins lost.
Winner Steve Birkinshaw 46mins.
4:40 quicker is 4th, just spiking #16 would have been somewhere between 6th and 10th.

Little loosener before the races to come. Aware of calf and still feeling sluggish and short of speed, but good to give it a go on Sunday.

Achilles sore again this morning. Does ease off during the day but next week it is the morning I am hoping to be running in....

Decided to switch round Mon/Tue bike and run. Pushed quite hard on climb up to Top of the World but got stopped for a minute at temporary lights which sort of defeated the point. Down to Fintry then reversed the route. Not feeling too strong but on reflection had main meal of the day at lunchtime on Sunday so maybe a bit short of energy this evening for that reason. Hope so....
