Lots of walking round Munich. Very hot. Stopped in quite a lot of beer gardens. Did not use running kit. Achilles still sore in morning.

Much stronger wind than I realised when I set out. Right into my face crawling painfully up the Langside. The pace of that crawl probably not helped by not eating much all day - was really struggling for a while.
Ate/drank enough during the ride though when recovered a bit by the end.

A lot further than any ride I have done in the past. Bit more confident now that I can manage to sit on a bike long enough in ten days time....

Went at an okay pace. Went up a hill. Calf felt maybe 6 or 7 out of ten. Confidence in it maybe only at 5 or 6 though. Achilles a bit niggly in the morning which is presumably calf-related too.
