Note
(injured) (rest day)

Not really sure things are improving.....did my best to assist the healing process by spending the day on the sofa watching sport on tv.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Took advantage of a day at home to do lots of stretching. Bit horrified at the impact a couple of months without the pilates sessions has had!

Seeing physio on Tuesday. Monday appointment available but day tripping to London.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Not miraculously healed after one day of rest. Already feels like I have missed about a week of prep but trying to be patient....

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Hmm again. Should have listened to my body rather than persuade myself it was okay to run because the physio said I could. Much worse today, it hurts just walking about.

Time to remember that I went for an 18 week build up as it meant I could afford a bit of time off for injury/illness should I need it. Although obviously it would have been better to remember that yesterday.

Took the physio's advice and chose a flat route. Hip/abdomen fine walking but sore running. Thought it would ease off. It didn't and was much more sore than on Sunday. Although it didn't get any worse either.

However afterwards it was still fine when not running. Hmmm. Will see how it is tomorrow before I decide whether to take a day or few off.

Note
(rest day)

Was booked in for physio today, glad about that! He got some movement back into my right ankle, freed up the frozen right side of my pelvis (which made a satisying clunk as it went back into position) and loosened off the rigid back muscles down my right. Felt a bit better balanced after that!

Sore/slightly strained muscles alongside right hip flexor which have been an issue for a few days (presumably caused by all the other tightness on that side) not so easy to sort though. Advice was that I was okay to run but that for the next few days I may be better to run on the flat rather than doing lots of uphill. Don't mind doing that!

Last week's bad sleep patterns catching up a bit perhaps, but for whatever reason felt a bit wiped out in the evening. So despite the gorgeous weather I took a rest day.

Into the final 12 weeks before Berlin now....
