Pleasant not too hard run with Gaz and Elle from their place, through the trashed woodland and then over the hill and back via the golf course. Lots of aches and pains brought on by such unfamiliar activity!

Then down to Bridge of Allan to rehydrate...

A comeback to running! Of sorts.....

Gentle calf-tester after work. Calf felt fine. Everything else hurt though, almost as though I had spent a month not doing the rehab and preventative exercises that the physio gave me.....

Despite that I enjoyed being out again, looking forward to doing more :)

My creaking body suffered throughout.

Surprisingly light despite a month of excess in place of exercise...

My calf seemed to cope. Although it was generally all quite painful.

Back to training after four weeks off post-Berlin though, might even try a little jog tomorrow. Maybe.

Physio last night reckoned calf tear (no surprise there) with perhaps 6-8 weeks out based on initial severity. Although also improvement rate to date has been v good so that may well be reduced. I do hope so....

London day trip not exactly helping the cold either.

Finally finished the long self-indulgent entry for Berlin and added splits. Celebrating with a trip to the physio tonight to see what she has to say about my calf, find myself surprisingly keen to be able to start running again.

Post-stag at South Achray.
All a bit of a blur although I distinctly recall a whole load of river crossings. And possibly some jogging.
Particularly as I didn't think it would be wise to try and balance across the river on the pipe crossing others were using.....

Walked up through the forest with Rosco as Ben Venue hill race spectators. Umbrellas made it a much better experience than it might have been. Tough-looking race, glad my injury meant I didn't have to put my hungover marathon-fatigued self through it :)
