Ran the 7th leg in MOKS 1 (#16). We had a rough start with major mistakes on the two first legs and sending out Anton on the third leg as 66th team some +13.15min behind the leading pack. From there we passed a lot of teams with Böttsin changing over to me as 16th team, some 30 seconds down on Vaajakosken Terä.

My orders was to try to catch them in the open field before the forest (if I could) so I sprinted out from the start. Managed to catch him (as well as Turun Metsänkävijät and KooVee) to the first control. Had quite an oxygen debt at this stage and placed my self last in the four man group to optimize my route and regain some energy. We ran quite bad to #2 going straight through the green, running parallel with the trail, and lost some 20-25s here. Got the third control OK but towards the 4th control we ran very to aggressive made a small 10-15s mistake in the ring. From here the orienteering went better but the pace was high enough that i struggled to stay in the back of VT and TM. When we got up on the big hill close to #9 they got a bit insecure so I took the command and punched first. On this section we managed to shake of KooVee and also passing Rajamäen Rykmentti. Fell in the downhill and dropped my map so I once more had to catch them on the track towards #10. Ran a bit to far down in the slope towards #14 and lost ~20s. Tried to pass them on the way down to the last control but the trail was to narrow. Kicked as hard as I could and managed to pass both of them and give Nordlund a 5s headstart at the change-over (as 12th team).

Nordlund made some initial mistakes but ran well on the second half. Lindberg and William ran really well and crossing the finish line as 13th team.

Overall i'm really satisfied with my performance! Could maybe have been a bit more active in the orienteering towards the 2nd control but I had my mind set at following the guys in front and to recover as much as possible.

Interval session with Wille. 2+1+2+1+2+1+1 w. 1m rec. The 2' @ 3.10/k and 1' @ 3.00/k, finished all out on the last 1' @ 2.48/k. Felt great yesterday but today my legs where not prepared to run fast.
