Cycling 56:11 [3] 22.39 km (2:31 / km) +232m 2:23 / km

Got dropped off at Perth and cycled home. Luckily noticed rear wheel was loose so tightened it before I set off. Still had a scary moment on the descent towards Dunning where I thought it was coming off again, but turns out it was just my over-active imagination...

Cycling 1:13:14 [3] 32.44 km (2:15 / km) +173m 2:12 / km

...stopped in Auchterarder for a pastry. Then got soaked at Gleneagles....

Orienteering 1:01:22 [4] 8.09 km (7:35 / km) +291m 6:26 / km

S6D6 - Glen Fearder West.

Got caught early on (near 4) by Rob Baker (hadn't seen him at the start, but he punching started just after me), as I struggled with my compass in the moraine at the far end. He missed it worse, so led him round that section before he got ahead at 9, when my compass was again unhelpful. We took turns leading and were joined by a Swede? before Rob took a decisive lead through the last part. Think we both benefited as Rob won and I was 4th. Great fun.

S6D5 glen fearder east

Fun course, not too hard, tracked up nicely. Good run with no real misses(!) to finish in my favoured position of 7th. Exciting overall battle with 3 of us tied for 6th going into the last day.

S6D4 creag choinnich

Ridiculously steep and rough early on so had to walk most of it. This meant no mistakes and a surprisingly solid result.

Orienteering 1:20:12 [3] 9.18 km (8:44 / km) +213m 7:50 / km

S6D3 Birsemore

Fairly scrappy run. Couldn't find crossing point to 4, big miss on 7 - running down wrong ridge to major confusion - confused by elite start and then caught foot in rabbit hole near end for a comedy faceplant and a very sore ankle.

S6D1 Glen Tanar

Rusty! Head not in it, very confused off start (ran way up gully needlessly), too rough for me, had to hunt for dropped si card... gunned it on the run in but still was bumped out by Doug:(. At least he went on to win it...
