Orienteering race 18:06 [4] *** 2.7 km (6:42 / km)
26c shoes: Inov8 Mudroc 290
JK Sprint, Livingston.
A typical Rosco performance in addition to the type of sprint area that doesn't really help me - not much chance to really go for it, constantly twisting and turning. The first 4 controls were fine, I'd just decided there were no traps when I found the trap. Right of the line, left of the line, under the underpass, up the ramp, back the way I came, beyond the control. My route was not optimum. After this was fine, but leaked little bits of time regularly and was generally average.
Feel if I went there again, I could be massively faster, but that, then, is the art of orienteering. Although it doesn't sound like it, still had loads of fun!
