Run (off-road) race 45:00 [5]
shoes: Inov8 mudclaw o330, sz 10.5

LAC Aonach Mor race. Power was off, so they couldn't run the gondola for the usual uphill race. Instead it was a hilly 6ish-miler around the bike trails in the forest. Awful weather - cold, cold rain and wind - but it was a great route. Started slowly but felt good and picked people off most of the way.

Run (off-road) 45:00 [2]
shoes: Inov8 roclite 315, size 11

An easy local one with Tim - Coffin Trail/Sandpit loop and some extra on the bike path.

Note

Just enough to avoid a worst-ever training total for the year!

A good long one. Hollies, Meanwood, Adel Woods and around Eccup Reservoir. Weather not too pleasant (rain and wiind), but feeling pretty good.

Orienteering race 54:52 [4] ***
26c shoes: Inov8 oroc 340, sz 10

EBOR Bishop Wood event. Brown, 7.4 km. Not a contour on the map and bramble screen over most of it, but it wasn't too bad at all and a fun wood to run around on a winter's day. Pretty good training having to keep oriented without any slopes as a cue, and very different to Argyll. Running OK. 2 biggish mistakes. 2nd by 2 mins to BS.

Note

Picked up a tick at this one. Found it a couple of days later. In December! In Yorkshire! Or maybe it was hiding in my o-kit ;).
