Event: SOL 6

Orienteering race 1:30:12 [4] ***
23c shoes: Olway Tiger, sz 10

SOL6 at Forvie. Open dunes. Really loved it. Lots of intricate stuff but blander areas for variety. Black, 10.9 km. Started a couple of minutes behind Graeme, caught him by 4 as he made a couple of bobbles, but just didn't have the legs to stick with him. A clean run, though, except for maybe a couple of minutes on 13. Should have gone for the path. Really toiled through the heather and grass at times. Gonna struggle at Blodslitet!

Event: SOL 5

Orienteering race 1:34:47 [4] ***
23c shoes: Olway Tiger, sz 10

SOL5 at Coull, Deeside. Black, 10.3 km/485 m. My first orienteering taste of Deeside. Found the forest rougher going than expected and never seemed to get much speed up. Navigated scrappily too, missing many controls. One of those days. SF won in 65 mins, so almost half an hour off the pace!

Run (roads) 40:00 [3]

Was a wee bit late to catch the Tuesday crowd, so headed off on a random run around town, exploring all the streets I've never been down. Plenty of hills.
