Orienteering 55:11 [4] ***
17c shoes: Inov8 mudclaw o 330, sz 10

EckO Glen Aray. Blue, 5.4 km. Newly re-mapped (I remember running there in 89 at the 6-days!). The start was a brutal climb over the first km or so to the folly at the top of the hill, then mostly downhill. Quite rough running and very wet underfoot. Not orienteering great, but trying to push the pace when the running was good. A cold day. The fire in The George in Iveraray was very welcome.

Orienteering 30:00 [1]

Setting up and collecting courses around town for the Oban and Lorn Sports Festival. We didn't have many takers (15), but had quite a few curious people asking about the sport. The day was soured by having an SI box stolen from an alleyway at the back of the Oban Inn. Not one of the more salubrious parts of Oban, but it would have taken someone with a socket set to get it off.

Bike (roads) 30:00 [1]

Commute. Hard work against the wind. Plus biking around town to check the courses for Saturday.

Run (off-road) 20:00 [2]

Lunchtime up into Dunbeg Forest, to the trig point, with Tim, Mark, Arlene and Keith. Grey and rather soggy underfoot, but good to get away from the office.

Run (off-road) 12:00 [4]

Hard up the hill.
