Note

Woke in the middle of the night in excrutiating pain from one knee. Something got in the wrong place when I moved. The neighbours probably heard me scream.

Bike orienteering 1:00:00 [2]

Bike orienteering at Fearnoch. A 75 min score. Missed two controls and one minute overtime. It would have been just about doable had I been a bit more organised with the map. I always seem to be flapping around with bike-o! Couldn't read/plan on the move, and there was quite a bit of thinking to do. Need one of those swivel map boards, I guess. Unpleasant weather (hail), but great fun and a good turnout (40 or so). Knees feel much better afterwards. Funny how that works. Routegadget.

Run (off-road) 10:00 [1]

Collecting controls.

Run (off-road) 40:00 [2]

Coastal cliffs to Ganavan then back through the woods and inland. The weather an hour before was like last week, but the sun came out and it was a grand run. Very wet underfoot. Three of us started, but one didn't make it past The Chasm - admittedly it did seem a bit sketchy today.

Note

Knees very sore and pop when I straighten them. Was it the skiing? Don't know. Time to rest up for JK.

Bike (roads) 20:00 [1]

Commute. Gears oh so silky smooth!

Bike (roads) 20:00 [1]

Commute

Run (off-road) 36:00 [3]

The usual lunchtime run up into Dunbeg Forest. Mark really pushed the pace today. Was feeling a bit sore from skiing, so didn't stick with him.

Downhill ski (telemark) 30:00 [1]

Half a day skiing the lifts at Glencoe with Tom and Lois. A stunning day - snowy mountains and blue skies. Lots of new powder, but the ice and rocks lurking beneath made it challenging at times.

Run (off-road) 29:00 [3]

Dunbeg with Mark. Stunning views over Mull - snow top to bottom of the mountains.

Run (off-road) 5:00 [4]

Hard up the hill.
