Run (off-road) 1:00:00 [2]
Today's mountain forecast for this area didn't bode too well - "Incessant torrential rain and severe winds, gusting to hurricane force on higher ridges/summits". It seemed like a day to stick to the lowlands, so I went exploring from the car park opposite Oban cemetery. It turns out that there is a marked route up into the forest from there, though it's sadly overgrown and very difficult to follow. Still, I found the way up and explored the roads and soggy rides. It's quite a young conifer plantation, so not too pretty, but a great area to run around. Found the old chapel that is marked on the OS map. All there was to see was the shape of the foundations, covered in bracken. And it rained incessantly!
