Orienteering race 1:54:00 [4] ***
34c

Lincolnshire Bomber long-O. 19km (ish) - took 1:54. They joined together four different maps for this, with three in one bag, then an exchange to the final one. They were pretty much in a line, with a bus ride out to the start. It was a fun idea, and I enjoyed it, though the woods were not what I'd hoped - brambles, slash, mud. Still, a good, long training run in tough terrain. There wasn't much to navigate by. Few contours - just vague vegetation and rides, but the flags were hung pretty high. Finshed 3rd, 7 mins down. Quite happy to last the distance well. A few twinges of cramp near the end.

City biking.

Run (off-road) 1:33:00 [3]

An excellent run - from home via The Hollies, Meanwood, Adel Woods to Eccup Reservoir. Very varied - paths, some terrain, hills, roads, views, woods. Had to cut it short to get back before dark, but could make it 2 hours or so by going around the reservoir.

Bike (roads) 15:00 [1]

City biking.

Run (off-road) 28:00 [3]

From home on roads, through twisty trails to The Hollies (gardens) and into Meanwood Park (beautiful orienteering terrain, though small). I should dig out an old map of it. Very fun woods to run around.
