Note

Managed a short tentative stroll around the block, sponsored by co-codamol. Then back to the sofa for another book (it's a two-book weekend!) after I'd watched Dawn and Louise's awesome work in capturing the majority of Dunblane's neutral zones. whit1001 and MaDVaL playing catch-up.

Note

Crippled and immobile. Nice new turf zones around the darn path, but not for me today

Walk up to the Stane. I needed to get out because my back was killing me! Stupid body, can I get a new one, please? This one's wrecked.
Back totally seized afterwards, then the power went off for 2 hours, what a sh*t day

TDZ Stage 7: Shorter Ride - 2x Jungle Loop. Missed my earlier group ride :-( so just a wee solo pootle. With 550 others.
Kudos to anyone who ventured outdoors for exercise today - what a minger. Double kudos to Matthew, just 'cause.

Paul's meet-up on the Mountain 8 course. Back on the bike after a week off - legs feeling very stale. Tech issues meant no warm-up, but I'd still have been struggling to hang on to the guys today; tail-end charlie all the way. Good to get the HR back up into the red zone again and hopefully I can get back in the groove pretty quickly. New saddle very comfy!

Well, I suppose you could call it orienteering. It was a snowy turf zone check out Lendrick way at a gentle jogging pace. Took my first two revisits ever (in Dunblane! They normally only last 10 minutes!) en route. Thought I'd be first around the Lendrick path but, no, there were footprints in the snow ahead of me - we're a hardy lot out here.
AboutTurn is now in the right place :-). OneToTree is in entirely the wrong place but it's on the path, so, hey ho.
Knee reduced me to a walk at 7km which is fine, I guess, and largely thanks to the soft snow reducing impact forces. Might regret it later but I am missing getting my HR above 110 so couldn't resist risking the "jog".

Lunchtime note: JonX came across for a visit and completely wiped me out - 24 zones to 0 in the space of an hour, but he in turn has had nearly all his conquests cancelled by Jason, Dawn/Louise, Rupert and now MaDVaL, who is playing catchup. At one point all of them were frantically chasing each other around the map on my Turf App. All in a morning's turfing in Dunblane! RogerG and whit1001 have yet to get out and wreak their havoc. Still plenty of life in the day, yet.

Walking 1:22:39 intensity: (19:44 @0) + (51:59 @1) + (10:56 @2) 7.45 km (11:05 / km) +193m 9:49 / km

Pre-work wander up in the woods, making sure to visit the three zones new to me. Crawford's SherrifArrow is a proper off-path orienteering control, fun. My dodgy contribution, ChickenedOut, was meant to be where the Coronation Chicken MTB trail crosses the ride, but was 10m off; TBH I'm inclined to leave it as it's probably best off the MTB trail anyway.

Got back to see that my zone suggestions for the west side of town have also arrived. There's still plenty of potential over that side, both in the middle and to the NW and SW, but finding zones in the middle that aren't on roads (not allowed) is difficult. Parks and paths OK. Need to look at an O map.
