Feeling a bit flat this morning, partially CV-19 blues and partially because I am missing my running in these glorious conditions. :-( Lay in bed then grumped around until the sun came out, which was my cue to get off my fat a**. Set out with a vague plan for a nice, easy, "long" ride (by my standards). Glorious glide up Langside, carried on to Auchingarrich then took the Glascorrie Road (bit rough) eastwards, coming into Crieff on the back road. Very grateful of my nice pillow-like 35C tyres. Coming back from Crieff to Muthill I noticed that the ride from the front tyre was VERY cushiony - i.e. nearly flat. Couldn't see anything in the tyre so pumped it up and carried on, which lasted to 5km beyond Muthill on the Tullibardine road. Time to dig out the spare tube. Headed on to Gleneagles and home along the back road. Really enjoyed this spin out - my knee was fine (in its compression bandage) although my back was screaming a bit after the 2h15 mark - it'll always be the ultimate limiting factor. Still. Earned my beer. Or two.

Indoor exercises or walk, first thing? Walk. Lovely morning to take a couple of paths I haven't been on in a while, along with some rough forest where the poles were a hindrance. Alas, confirming my experience from yesterday, even walking is making my knee start swelling up. This is not good.

Stuart Rennie's Meetup - Dust In The Wind. That was fun - good route choice, Alan! Love that whole Titans Grove section, with all of its sharp wee hills and KOM that is just short enough to do as a sprint. Wore my knee compression bandage and had no problems.

Last-minute exercise slot availability. My Boardman is still u/s awaiting a new hanger, so I "borrowed" the old Rockhopper from Jamie. Missed the full-suss on the difficult part of the Darn Path but the old bus did OK! Realised as I was approaching the Keir Estate that I didn't have the time to complete my planned route through the estate before my 4:30 con-call, so I cut up the road to rejoin the route at the Stirling Monument. Fun. Such a glorious afternoon! All the tracks bone dry. Probably means it's going to rain all summer... HR strap wonky for the first 3 or 4 minutes.
Usual. Had to vacate the area in time for the PE With Joe crew.

Reet breezy, and there is nowhere to hide from the wind on the Elliptigo! A strong headwind all the way to Braco made the outward trip a real grind - possibly my all-time PW - but whilst it was nice on the way back, I didn't have enough gears on the Go to take full advantage. Steady workout.
