Cycling (Gravel/Road) 54:00 intensity: (1:33 @0) + (1:18 @1) + (11:28 @2) + (18:45 @3) + (20:56 @4) 19.36 km (21.5 kph) +338m
ahr:134 max:157 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

Unhooked the Croix de Fer from the turbo and took it out for a bit of gravel action. Even on the standard (35C!) tyres it was fine, except maybe when I needed to stand up; and the ride was velvety. Then it was up for some bombing along the Sherrifmuir road, too! Top bike.

Cycling (Turbo) 1:13:27 intensity: (4:21 @1) + (18:02 @2) + (39:43 @3) + (11:21 @4) 36.03 km (29.4 kph) +755m

Left knee still a bit unhappy after Thursday's spin, so I stuck to the garage rather than get stranded on the road. I'd hoped to do the complete Three Sisters route, but the gammy joint wasn't up to it, so - just two female siblings it was. I was ready for my breakfast by then, anyway!

Couldn't sleep (work worries) so got up and went for a brisk walk early doors. A bit of fresh air and exercise works wonders.

Cycling (Turbo) 1:32:50 intensity: (55 @0) + (6:08 @1) + (30:41 @2) + (48:28 @3) + (6:38 @4) 43.85 km (28.3 kph) +805m

Zwift: Stuart Rennie's Meetup - Surrey Hills.
The first rule of Zwift Meetup is: don't miss the meetup.
I missed the meetup. Which meant that, although I could join them shortly after they'd started, I wasn't "in the group" and therefore not in the "rubber band". This meant that I kept piling off the front on the (many!) climbs, although those guys are all WAY better cyclists than me; they just have accurate power meters ;-). Pretty good workout accompanied by a Zoom session of 6 sweaty blokes in their respective garages. How life has changed!
My knee didn't like the hills as much as the rest of me did, and swelled up in a huff afterwards. That much hasn't changed.

Jamie needed to get oot the hoose - my turn to get his chat today. Very pleasant wee stroll; investigated the route off the Old Glen Road that I've been seeing others use recently - v nice. Wrist-based HR total garbage, as per.

Elliptigo 1:13:12 intensity: (38 @1) + (3:19 @2) + (21:57 @3) + (43:12 @4) + (4:06 @5) 26.65 km (21.8 kph) +376m
ahr:146 max:165 shoes: Elliptigo

Amazingly, despite my best Wreck it Ralph home servicing efforts, nothing fell off the Elliptigo on this test run! So the weakest link is once again indisputably me! A summer of this will get me fit :-).

Strength training 45:00 [1]

Morning exercises. Knees feeling less creaky after a day off, back more creaky!
12 PM

Cycling (Turbo) 30:08 intensity: (41 @1) + (5:31 @2) + (13:32 @3) + (10:24 @4) 17.25 km (34.3 kph) +284m
ahr:135 max:158 shoes: Genesis Croix de Fer 30 2016

NYC - lunchtime 30. As in 30 minutes, as that's all I had time for, between calls! Worked wonders to ease my aching back.
8 PM

Strength training (Pilaates) 40:00 [1]

A bit late starting - had to get the dinner underway first.
