Unhooked the Croix de Fer from the turbo and took it out for a bit of gravel action. Even on the standard (35C!) tyres it was fine, except maybe when I needed to stand up; and the ride was velvety. Then it was up for some bombing along the Sherrifmuir road, too! Top bike.

Left knee still a bit unhappy after Thursday's spin, so I stuck to the garage rather than get stranded on the road. I'd hoped to do the complete Three Sisters route, but the gammy joint wasn't up to it, so - just two female siblings it was. I was ready for my breakfast by then, anyway!

Couldn't sleep (work worries) so got up and went for a brisk walk early doors. A bit of fresh air and exercise works wonders.

Zwift: Stuart Rennie's Meetup - Surrey Hills. The first rule of Zwift Meetup is: don't miss the meetup. I missed the meetup. Which meant that, although I could join them shortly after they'd started, I wasn't "in the group" and therefore not in the "rubber band". This meant that I kept piling off the front on the (many!) climbs, although those guys are all WAY better cyclists than me; they just have accurate power meters ;-). Pretty good workout accompanied by a Zoom session of 6 sweaty blokes in their respective garages. How life has changed! My knee didn't like the hills as much as the rest of me did, and swelled up in a huff afterwards. That much hasn't changed.

Jamie needed to get oot the hoose - my turn to get his chat today. Very pleasant wee stroll; investigated the route off the Old Glen Road that I've been seeing others use recently - v nice. Wrist-based HR total garbage, as per.

Amazingly, despite my best Wreck it Ralph home servicing efforts, nothing fell off the Elliptigo on this test run! So the weakest link is once again indisputably me! A summer of this will get me fit :-).
