Such a glorious day that I couldn't resist going a bit further afield for a run in some truly beautiful terrain. Thankfully I knew just the place, and I had it all to myself. Heaven out there; making hay whilst the sun was shining and we're still not confined to our houses. Sadly I had to cut my planned route a little short; my knee, which was unhappy from the start, really started grumbling after 45 minutes, even just at a jogging pace and in this lovely, soft stuff. Oh well. Much fun was had. And yet another pair of new shoes - Ewan's old ones! - were (re-)christened.

Nae bugger aboot early doors. Went straight through the woods when I could anyway, bit choppy underfoot in places but mostly lovely. Knee not much improved by the suggested focus on abductor exercises - still twinging and caving if I try to stretch out at all - but I'll keep at it as I don't have much choice, do the physio and hope it gradually helps or do nowt and give up!

Stage 3 - Longer Ride - Tour of Watopia 2020. Today's stage swapped fast and flat for 1000m of climb. I was 2 mins / 1.7km late due to technical probs, but got catapulted into the pack rather than starting on my ownio. No heroics today - settled into a steady grind at roughly 4w/kg, and slowly worked my way through the field, ending up 40th/411 at the top. Surprised to be just a minute down on my PB for the climb - 51:56 today. My knee wasn't happy, though, and - no surprise - it was swollen afterwards, with the Baker's Cyst coming back to say hello. Sigh.

Greater London Loop. 8:02 up Box Hill is AOK - n'owt wrong with my lungs, just my legs need a bit of work.

Strength training (Pilates) 45:00 [1]

FVO Pilates by video link - on the telly in the lounge! Worked a treat. Circuits would have been more of a challenge, though, so we did a bit more Pilates.
