SOL at Teviothead - Short Brown (8km). Pretty dire effort - still totally wiped, I could barely muster an animated jog, certainly not a run. I had also managed to pull my back yesterday evening, sigh, so when the pills started to wear off towards the latter part of the course and the sciatica started to distract me, I made a few silly mistakes. Maybe 5 minutes lost in mistakes and easily 1 min/km in running speed. Thankfully the low cloud in the higher parts of the course helped some others make mistakes, so I wasn't laughably far behind. I love going down to the Borders. It's gorgeous. Must start Donald-bagging again.

Zwift - Watopia. Very compressed Saturday morning slot due to birthday shenanigans (Jamie) and dance duties (Eilidh). Just as I was about to jump on the bike, I got a phone call - another 15 minutes gone, argh! As it turned out, I felt pretty dreadful anyway, no energy, and was toiling heavily on the climbs; so, I wasn't too disappointed about the shortened session, after all.

Spin spin spin. Lunchtime downpour avoidance, again. 2 laps of the Watopia Hilly Route for old times' sake. One hard lap off no warm up (oops), one steady - rewarded with PBs on the KOM (2:37 vs 2:40) and full loop (14:30 vs 14:40), so, can't have been that bad. Decent short workout. Knee strapped and no further swelling afterwards.
