Jog around King's Park whilst the kids were at the park run. Feeling sore, tweaky back and niggly hamstring. Too much yesterday. Too much sitting on the sofa absorbed in my book!!!

I had a long proper cycle planned but it was wet and I am a wimp on a bike in the rain (too many slippy experiences on a motorbike!), so, into the garage I scuttled. I had unfinished business with the Alpe du Zwift after last time's ignominious defeat, so went out strong with the aim to get close to my PB. By the time I realised that I was actually on good form today and that a new PB was easily on the cards, I had left it too late to push for a sub-50, which I'm pretty sure was do-able today.Target for next time. 50:52 today, a 47s PB, with more in the tank. TRIMP 186.2, NP 249W.

Easy run to the Gathering Stane. Strangely knackered and still fighting off the cold that has laid the rest of the house low. Ugly hard track to the GS now mostly finished. TRIMP 67.8.

Lunchtime, pre-event and post-event putting out and collecting in controls for the sprint race at the Uni. Lovely day; was just jogging around, of course, but I must have burnt a fair few calories (and expelled the odd heated word) fankling with those !"!*&%£%)(* gripples.
