My pal Gordon popped in on a flying visit from Seattle, so we went for a wander up Dumyat and set the world to rights. 30 years this year since we met at uni - eek! - still a great guy.

Yesterday was an intentional rest day post blood donation, but it was this morning that I was feeling wiped out. Went back to bed after breakfast for a wee lie-down, then dragged myself out for a stroll up to the Gathering Stane, and felt much more human after that.

Pootled out to Doune to attend the Doune Ponds POC inaugural event. Took the back road and nearly got flattened twice by neds leaving the dirt bike track. Idiots. TRIMP 31.9.

Back from Doune after a very nice coffee in the cafe - thanks G&L! Slog into the headwind of an incoming thunderstorm; fully expecting to be drenched before reaching home, but, in the end, it was another hour before the rain actually arrived, phew. TRIMP 42.5.

Recovery spin on Bertha. I really need to get the old gal serviced! My legs were feeling surprisingly fine - I was just short of time today. I think that I'll stick to spinning for a while, as my feet are pretty bashed up. TRIMP 49.2.
