Back to the icy northern wastes! Managed to sneak into the garage for a pyramid Eliiptigo session on the turbo after a family cycle to BrOfA. 1/2/3/4/3/2/1/1/.5, the last two flat out. TRIMP 67.7.

Last visit to the hotel gym. Dehydrated after a few hours' strolling around the Botanical Gardens. Followed by 30 mins of stretching, core and weights, with the added excitement of catching some geezer in the act of stealing my Garmin. FFS. TRIMP 68.5.

Up in the mountains again, probably for the last time this holiday, having reached Peak Tantrum today. A pleasant woodland stroll up to the highest point of the island, with great views across to Tenerife.

Hotel gym after the obligatory beach day, which actually involved a 9km walk and an infinite amount of sand in my shoes. Had planned to do some weights after the elliptical but they were being hogged, so I just did some core. TRIMP 77.6.

Roque Nublo. Probably the most popular hill walk on GC, but we took a far pleasanter and less trodden route, only having to brave the crowds at the summit. Impressive.

A day of short walks, this one being the only one worth recording: a yomp down into a lush caldera for our picnic lunch. Thankfully no lava to spoil proceedings.
